The How and Why and Wonder of Spiritual Healing

Life doesn’t have to be so scary!

“A life lived in fear is a life half-lived” so goes the Spanish proverb. But aren’t we being convinced today, in all sorts of ways, to live just such a “half-life’? Aren’t we being constantly bombarded with fear-filled reports and predictions? We’re being told we should fear for our health prospects; fear for our jobs; fear for our future security? But do we really have to surrender to these alarmist, often sensational reports? Or is there a way of thinking that allows us to live with confidence and assurance that there is, and always will be, good in our lives?

This thought-provoking talk by international speaker and Christian Science healer, Beth Packer, explores the phenomena of spiritual healing as recorded throughout the Bible. And it shows by present-day examples, that such healing is not something of the past, but is a present possibility – an accessible transforming power for good in our lives today. She says, “Do we realize that the God that saved Moses and the children of Israel from the Pharaoh’s armies, the God that saved Daniel in the lions’ den, the God that saved Jesus in the tomb – is the same God that is with us and is still willing and able to save us when we’re facing life’s challenges – no matter how big or scary?”

She says, “I have found in my own life, both for myself and my family, that God’s loving care is practical, powerful and available on a daily basis, to bring help and healing, no matter what situation we may be facing. A recognition that this divine care is all-powerful and always present, brings peace, harmony and assurance of good to our lives.”

Having spent years lecturing in Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe this in-demand speaker will be presenting a free talk to the public titled, “The How, Why and Wonder of Spiritual Healing” on Saturday, October 19th, at 1 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1818 Maple Avenue, Evanston.

In this talk you’ll hear how practical, effective prayer can help us all experience divine power and protection in our lives. You’ll hear how a knowledge of our inseparable relationship to God brings practical healing solutions. The talk also includes multiple healing experiences including protection from danger, healing of illness and effects of accident. The ideas used come from the original source book on Christian healing, the Bible, along with Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
